EXO’s Baekhyun Shares His Upcoming Military Enlistment and New Album
On March 26, EXO’s Baekhyun met his fans through an Instagram Live in which he talked about his future plans.
The EXO member revealed why his upcoming album “Bambi” would not have a large-scale promotion. “I thought about it many times, whether I should tell you in early March or just tell you later. Late March is the final date where I could push back my military enlistment. He said. “We did their best with the enlistment date but we’re unsure to verify schedules in April.”
He continued, “I wasn’t certain if it would be appropriate to request you to wait for me when nothing has been sure. I said that I would return in happiness all the love that I have received. I don’t want to make an issue ahead of time, so I really worked hard for this new album and added my ideas from the album preparation up to the music video shoot so that I can relay what I wanted to show.” He added, “We’ve filmed a lot of content in advance even if I’m not here, it will be released on YouTube and platforms. It can be helped but others might be disappointed because I shared it so late, but my intention is clear. I don’t want you guys to prepare ahead of time. It’s not like we’re going to separate forever. I just wanted it to be like, ‘I’ll be back.’”
He finished with, “ I have a heavy heart sharing this. Even if I’m not around for a period of time, there’s a lot of things prepared for you so that you won’t feel my absence let’s not be sad since there’s still some time left..”
EXO’s Baekhyun new album “Bambi” will be out on March 30 at 6 p.m. KST.
