Hallyuween 2022: Manila’s Most Spooktacular K-Event Yet.

Indeed, Hallyuween 2022 is one of the books!

Despite the Tropical cyclone Warning Signals raised in the country, K-Pop fans didn’t let this slide as they witnessed the first-ever K-pop Halloween party! With CLEPIK HIGHKARDPENTAGONGAHO x KAVEDJ SODA, P-Pop group BGYO, and Drag Race contestants gracing the stage!

“Spooky” would be an understatement to describe the whole atmosphere of the show, from the outstanding costumes by the attendees, fan booths by the fans for the fans, zombies roaming around, huge fangs on stage, and of course the hot performances from the artists! Opening the show by Drag Queens, Lady Gagita, Lady Morgana, and Minty Fresh performing “Paparazzi” and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” respectively did Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”

The show officially began as the first act, Gaho X KAVE serenade the audience with their hits from K-Dramas, Itaewon Class’s “Start Over” and “Running” from Start Up, plus a cover of BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That.”

The crowd cheered louder as PENTAGON returned to the Philippine concert stage for Hallyuween 2022, making Universe’s dream a reality. The boys put on fantastic performances, including “Feelin’ Like,” “Call My Name,” and “Shine.”

Filipino fans of PENTAGON surely missed the boys as they returned to the Manila stage for the event. Without Hui, Hongseok, and Yanan, the boys still killed their performances of “Feelin’ Like,” “Sparkling Night,” “Beautiful Goodbye,” “Call My Name” and of course, “Shine.”

One of the most awaited sets of the night was the stage of the P-Pop boy group, BGYO. Meeting P-Pop and K-Pop! The boys did not disappoint with their set, performing “The Light”, “Isigaw Mo,” “Kundiman,” “The Baddest,” and their latest, “Magnet.” According to the boys, performing these K-Pop acts is a dream come true.

Following that the co-ed K-Pop group, KARD hit the stage with their most recent single “Ring The Alarm,” as well as “Oh Nana” and “Red Moon.” The quartet went on stage with their full costumes on and tells the crowd during ment how they wish to eat at the famous Filipino fast food, Jollibee

A household name in the K-Hip Hop industry, EPIK HIGH, returned to Manila after many years! Opening their set with “No Thanxxx” followed by “Burj Khalifa”, “One,” and “Born Hater.”

Hallyuween 2022’s headliner, CL set the stage on fire as she opened her set with “Spicy.” As the performance went on, she showed that she was no ordinary singer and her songs included such hits as “The Baddest Female,” “5 Star,” and “Lover Like Me.” The former 2NE1 leader CL ended her set with “Hello Bitches,” before an announcement was made regarding award winners in the category of best Halloween costumes. She hoped to meet her Filipino fans with her tour soon!

There’s no better way to end the show than with rave music! The arena turned into an instant club thanks to the last act, DJ SODA, dressed in a Spiderman suit!

The final thought I have is that this should become an annual tradition! HALLYUWEEN has brought so much joy and excitement to K-Pop fans who wish to celebrate Halloween with their favorite K-Pop stars! Hopefully, this isn’t the end of the Halloween K-Party culture in the Philippines, but rather the beginning of it as well.
