K-Pop Solo WOODZ to Hold A Manila concert on June
Let’s set the vibe of June into a hot and trendy mood as PULP Live World and Happee Hour brings WOODZ to Manila with his 2023 WOODZ WORLD TOUR [OO-LI] in MANILA happening on June 17, 2023 at the New Frontier Theater.
Cho Seungyoun, more known as WOODZ, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer. He started as a member of idol groups from 2014-2019, but in between those years, he has been exploring his craft and music as a solo artist. It was in 2020 when his career boomed as he decided to go by the name of ‘WOODZ’. He released his first EP Equal including the title track “Love Me Harder” which has over 20 million of plays now on Spotify.
Over the years of musical exploration, WOODZ has successfully made a name in the industry and built a strong fanbase in South Korea and worldwide. Even before he dived into a solo career, his magnetic pull on fans is powerful enough to bring him to the Top 5 ranking of an Idol Survival Show in South Korea. He also boasts numerous music awards nominations under his belt and won Best Icon Award at the 2021 Asia Artists Awards.
As a soloist, WOODZ is very hands-on in writing the lyrics of his songs and producing most of his music. He is known as an all-around artist who is well-versed in all aspects of music production. In the recent years, he successfully released his second EP Woops! (2020), full album Set (2021), 3rd EP Only Lovers Left (2021) with hit double tracks “Kiss of Fire” and “Waiting”. With this album, he achieved his first win as a soloist on The Show.
In February of this year, WOODZ released his new single “Abyss”, a mellow track that tackles the message of comfort and self-love. The release of this single followed by an announcement of his world tour entitled 2023 WOODZ WORLD TOUR [OO-LI]. This world tour explores the complexity and beauty of one’s individuality as WOODZ aim to showcase his massive prowess to all his fans.
