K-Pop Stars Who Established Their Own Entertainment Companies

Aside from the looks, talents, and charm, our favorite K-Pop idols possess, some of them are also the boss of their own entertainment companies! Some of these K-Pop artists build their own company right after their contract expired with their previous agencies. Check out the companies your idols’ are managing!

SISTAR’s Hyolin – Brid3 Entertainment

Brid3, Hyolyn’s own music label, was created not long after she announced her departure from Starship Entertainment. In an official statement, she noted that the company’s name pronounced “Bridge,” was designed to signify the bridge she aims to construct between the general public and all genres of music creation, similar to how a bridge in a song leads to the song’s climax.

BLOCK B’s ZICO – KOZ (King of Jungle) Entertainment

Zico, a former member of the group Block B, established his own company called KOZ Entertainment in 2018. KOZ Entertainment focuses on music production and artist management. Zico himself is a renowned rapper, producer, and songwriter.

Jay Park – AOMG and H1GHR Music

Jay Park founded his own hip-hop and R&B label called AOMG, Above Ordinary Music Group, in 2013. Later, he co-founded H1GHR MUSIC in 2017, which aims to support and promote global hip-hop and R&B artists. AOMG is a hip-hop and R&B-focused entertainment company that has gained recognition for its roster of talented artists, including Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray, Lee Hi, and Loco.

 

RAIN – RAINCOMPANY

Rain established the company in 2015 as a platform to manage his own career and pursue his artistic endeavors. RainCompany focuses on managing Rain’s activities as a solo artist, including music releases, concerts, acting projects, and other ventures. It houses to Oh Yeju and Ciipher.

SHINHWA – Shinhwa Company

SHINHWA Company was founded in 2011 and serves as the agency for all the members of SHINHWA, namely Eric, Lee Minwoo, Kim Dongwan, Shin Hyesung, Jun Jin, and Andy. The company manages their group activities, including album releases, concerts, and promotions.

Under SHINHWA Company, SHINHWA has continued to release albums and hold successful concerts, maintaining their status as one of the longest-running K-pop groups.

 

SUPER JUNIOR – Label SJ

Label SJ is the exclusive label for Super Junior. It is a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, It was established in 2015 with the purpose of managing Super Junior’s activities and promoting their music. Label SJ provides various management services for Super Junior, including album production, music releases, concert planning, and promotions. The label works closely with the members of Super Junior to support their careers and ensure their activities run smoothly.

In addition to Super Junior, Label SJ has also been involved in managing other projects related to the group, such as sub-units, solo releases, and collaborations.

 

KANG DANIEL – Konnect Entertainment

Founded by solo act, Kang Daniel. Kang Daniel gained fame as a member of the boy group Wanna One, which was formed through the survival show “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017.

After Wanna One disbanded, Kang Daniel established his own entertainment company called Konnect Entertainment in 2019. The company aims to manage Kang Daniel’s solo career and support his activities as a singer, dancer, and entertainer. Currently, Kang Daniel, Chancellor, and Yuju are totally managed by Konnect, while CL is managed domestically and houses to the dancing crew We Dem Boyz (WDBZ).

 

PSY –  P Nation

PSY, famous for his global hit “Gangnam Style,” founded his own entertainment company called PNation in 2018. YG Entertainment. The company used to be home to artists like Jessi, HyunA, and Dawn. Today, the company manages HEIZE, CRUSH, TNX, and many more.

 

HIGHLIGHT (formerly known as BEAST) – Around Us Entertainment

BEAST (now known as Highlight) decided to start their own independent label in December 2016 after leaving Cube Entertainment. In 2019, they announced the formation of a new subsidiary, With US Entertainment, to launch a new artist, The Wind, a seven-member boy group, and made their debut in 2023 with their first mini album Beginning : The Wind Page.
