K-Virtual Influencers Taking Over The Social Media

In the last decade, we have seen hundreds of Instagram models, influencers, and content creators becoming the brand’s faces and ambassadors. But looks like the future is taking over the present; virtual influencers taking over social media feeds. Virtual influencers are digital characters created using computer graphics software. These influencers also have their own personalities and act as real humans on social media platforms as if they are an influencer.

An aspiring K-Pop idol created by, OnMind. She has collaborated with All Saints Korea, Laneige, Maison Kitsune, Maison Margiela, and Helmut Lang. The designer, Kim Hyeoung-il, said that he was inspired by real-life K-Pop idols such as BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Twice’s Tzuyu.

Reah Keem

LG’s virtual influencer Reah Keem recently debuted as a singer under the MYSTIC STORY label, the company behind singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin. She currently has 14,800 followers on Instagram. Reah Keem is a 23-year-old virtual being created by LG Electronics using artificial intelligence used by the company to introduce its new products to the market.

 

Rozy

South Korea’s first-ever virtual social media influencer, Rozy, was created by Sidus Studio X. She was first introduced as the face of an insurance company based out of Seoul, Shinhan Life. Currently, she has 130,000 followers on Instagram with sponsorships from huge brands such as Chevrolet Clavin Klein, and Hera Beauty. In February, Sidus Studio X shared that she will debut as a  singer.
