K-Pop fans love to celebrate their idols’ birthdays by greeting them on their fan accounts, attending cup-sleeve events, purchasing themed cakes, and so on, but these specific groups of fans went crazy. Gifts that are extremely expensive. With the overwhelming gifts pouring in from all directions, these gifts drew the attention of the entire fandom as well as the artists themselves. Here are some of the most extravagant fan gifts given to idols.

EXO Xiumin

On April 9 2018, EXO-L rented out an entire subway line in Seoul to celebrate Xiumin’s birthday and EXO’s sixth debut anniversary. With four different floor banners for each season and floors decorated with celebratory messages for the K-Pop idol.

BTS V

BTS’ V’s Chinese fan group, China Baidu V Bar, sent their best wishes by displaying an advertisement on the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. V’s birthday ad has been displayed for the second year in a row. The three-minute commercial featured V’s song Inner Child as background music, which was released in 2019 as part of the BTS album Map of the Soul: 7. V’s career highlights since his debut in 2013 were featured in the advertisement.

BTS Jungkook

A gold bar was given to the golden maknae himself. In 2017, he received a 500-gram gold bar in honor of his 20th birthday.

EXO Sehun

The K-Pop idol became the first to own a themed airplane. Oh Sehun Bar, Sehun’s largest Chinese fan union, gave him this on his birthday. The plane was covered in photos of the idol on both the outside and inside, including the tray tables. The ‘SEHUN Airplane’ flew for three months in 2019, from May 27 to August 27.

For her birthday in 2015, the legendary singer received $61,000 worth of “IU Forest Project.” The forest contains 250 different types of trees in Yeouido, including flowering cherry trees, boxwood trees, and others.

BLACKPINK Jennie
