K-Pop idols are indeed good brand ambassadors. If you own a company, no doubt they’re the best to hire to endorse your good as they instantly sell them out. But there are random moments when companies should thank K-Pop idols for advertising their products for free. Here are the random items of some K-Pop idols made sold out.

 

BTS JUNGKOOK – Downy

In January 2019, BTS’ Jungkook talked with ARMYs on their official fan cafe. While on the topic of laundry, the fans asked the idol what products he uses to do laundry. Jungkook replied that he uses Downy as his fabric softener. After a while, It led to a shortage of the product and then topped the Korean Google, Naver’s real-time search rankings.

In response, the BTS member tweeted and said, “ARMYs… I’m almost out of my fabric softener and have to buy a new one… but it’s all sold out.” with a hashtag, “ARMY is impressive.”

APINK Naeun – Leggings

In 2014, Adidas’ 3 stripe leggings randomly became a hit for young South Koreans all because of Apink‘s Naeun. The hit item was born during the dance practice video for “LUV.” The Apink member wore a plain black tee and the Adidas’ 3 stripe leggings. Naeun’s stunning proportions and long-legged made the leggings a staple in a South Korean closet.

MAMAMOO Hwasa – Gopchang and Hair Brush

Hwasa a.k.a the sold-out queen, her unexpected mukbang on ‘I Live Alone’ revived not only the restaurant but also the gopchang industry across the country also, and the whole group, MAMAMOO became its official brand ambassador. Aside from selling out grilled intestines, Hwasa made a hairbrush brand trending overnight. It was seen on Hwasa’s stylist using a Tangle Angel hairbrush to brush through her long locks.
