Park Na Rae Releases Apology + YouTube Show to Be Cancelled

Gag woman Park Na Rae made an official apology for the controversial actions shown on the web variety show “Hey Na Rae.”

In one episode of “Hey Na Rae”, Park Na Rae mimicked EXO’s Kai’s famous “panty” clip from “Knowing Brothers” and said, “The chili pepper in the pants,” and continued, “Chili peppers are vegetables, so it can be aired.” However, chili peppers also refer to the penis in the Korean language.

Her co-host, Jini said, “My close friends told me that if I was ever startled by Park Na Rae, I should wave a carrot in the air and ask for help. I should have taken a carrot here.” Park Na Rae held up a carrot and made a gesture that hinted at sexual content.

In the other episode, Park Na Rae expressed sexual comments again on a male doll dressed in underwear and placed the doll’s hands on the doll’s private area. Jini was surprised and with a caption popping up “Isn’t this rated 25+?”

The scenes immediately earned criticism online and, on March 24 representatives of “Hey Na Rae” released an apology and announced that the show will be canceled and all of its episodes have been deleted. Park Na Rae apologized through a statement from her agency and a handwritten apology on Instagram.
