Where Do Locals Drink In Seoul?

Admit it or not you once wanted to reenact scenes in K-Drama. Whether it’s a heart-fluttering scene or a drunk moment of the leads, we once wished to have a moment in a street stall in Korea that they call “pojangmacha.” This is where most K-Drama leads go to get over heartbreaks, tell secrets, drink away disappointments, and more.

It is a small tented spot that can be either on wheels or street that sells a variety of street food and alcoholic drinks. They are surrounded by plastic tarps, hanging from each side. Plastic stools around the movable counter where the owner is cooking, while larger pojangmacha have tables and chairs available. The price is definitely cheaper. Tteokbokki, Sundae, Gimbap, Odeng, Ho-tteok are the most common snacks you will find in a pojangmacha.
